AAUW New Jersey Charitable Trust

Does your branch need funds for a program or event that advances our mission?

A grant from the Charitable Trust may be the answer.

The Charitable Trust exists to help AAUW NJ branches, districts, and the AAUW NJ state affiliate to fulfill our mission and goals. Areas of particular interest for funding include gender equity in education and the workplace, and leadership for women and girls.

We’re in this together! Collaborations are encouraged with other like-minded organizations to achieve these goals.

AAUW New Jersey Charitable Trust was established in 1991 through the generosity of donors who supported the work of AAUW in New Jersey. Donations have come from individual bequests, the AAUW NJ affiliate, AAUW NJ branches, other individuals, businesses and institutions.

The purpose of the Charitable Trust is to provide grants to advance AAUW’s missions and goals in New Jersey. The Trust is a national AAUW Affiliate managed by a Board of Trustees comprised of AAUW members from across the state. It is a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.  The President is the main point of contact for applicants and inquires should be addressed to aauwnjct@gmail.com

The CT Grant Program enables AAUW mission-based programs by reducing financial hurdles and supporting AAUW NJ members in collaborative projects. Traditional programs as well as novel ideas for mission-based work are welcome. It encourages networking with schools, community-based and other organizations that share our mission, thereby amplifying the benefit to people and the impact of Trust funds.

In addition to managing funds for the general CT Grant Program, the CT also manages funds that are restricted to Tech Trek NJ. Donations to either program are welcome by check or by using the DONATE button on this page.
