  AAUW-NJ Charitable Trust Guidelines
  1. COVER SHEET
    Include the following on the cover sheet:
    1. name, address, county, telephone, fax and e-mail of branch or member
    2. name of program proposed
    3. starting and ending date of program
    4. amount requested
    5. signature of branch president or branch designee or member (if submitted by a member)

  2. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM (20 Points)
    Provide a complete description of the program which includes:
    1. type of program--conference, workshop, product, research, etc.
    2. objectives and expected outcomes
    3. activities and timelines
    4. population, number, and diversity of those who will be served
    5. individuals responsible
    6. publicity plan
    7. materials, books, videos to be used

  3. IMPACT (10 Points)
    Answer the following in the impact section:
    1. What barriers to gender equity will be addressed?
    2. Describe the relationship of the program to one of the major AAUW publications (How Schools Shortchange Girls, Hostile Hallways, Girls in the Middle, etc.)
    3. How will the project impact the local branch(s) or the state?
    4. What local, state or national AAUW goal will be addressed?

  4. EVALUATION (5 Points)
    1. Describe how the success of the program will be measured.
    2. Attach an evaluation form to be completed by each program participant which will be summarized for the final report. The final report must contain a demographic summary of the participants.
    3. Who is responsible for the evaluation?

  5. MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT (10 Points)
    1. Describe the involvement of branch members and members at large.
    2. Will the major responsibility for the grant program be held by AAUW-NJ members or another organization? If another organization, provide information about the organization.
    3. Provide the name(s) and role of other organizations involved in the program.
    4. Describe the previous experience of the local branch or members in conducting the proposed program or other mini-grants.

  6. BUDGET (5 Points)
    1. Prepare a detailed budget which describes all funds requested.
    2. List all in-kind contributions from the branch, members, or other sources. In-kind can be space, equipment, cash or services
